About Me
My husband and I have 5 biological children and 3 adopted sons. Our biological kids had grown and gone when we decided to add more blessings to our lives. We adopted brothers that were 8and 10 years old 3 years ago on my birthday. A year later we adopted a 13 year old boy who had been in foster care with our other sons. Our lives have truly been blessed by these children. We both work in special education and that has been a plus in dealing with issues with our two younger boys. All three boys have just blossomed and are doing great! We are now doing pre placement visits with another special needs boy and hope to add him to our growing family soon. Our advice to anyone thinking of adopting is this: Don't limit yourselves. Look past the disabilities and see the child. You will be blessed!

Thes, I could not agree with you more concerning your statement about adopted children being real children. We have four biological children with our youngest being seven. I work RAD kids at present and we hope to follow in your foot steps one day and adopt after our youngest gets a little more grown. :) Marie
