Why Choose Africa?
Choosing which country to adopt from is a personal journey of choice each family must make when deciding to adopt. There are orphans who need families through out the world. But it may be argued that none so much as those in Africa. Due to war, disease, abject poverty and terrible economic conditions, even those children lucky enough to find a place in an orphanage have no real hope for any kind of future. Unfortunately, even life expectancy is only 39 years.
AFAA, the first licensed agency in Ethiopia, has a strong and long-term relationship with the governments in the countries where we work. In addition we run our own special house for orphans and assist in finding families to foster the children in our program. Each child is lovingly cared for while waiting for their adoptive placement.
